BrownScarfs!

bovil did a writeup of our weekend at Gallifrey that I couldn't possibly match.

However -- a bit of news to spread FAR AND WIDE:

SciFi has picked up the first season of the new Russell T Davies production of Dr. Who, due to begin broadcasting in the US on March 17.

They have invested NO promotional budget in the series, which they are dropping into the Battlestar Galactica slot once they finish its current season.

I finally got to see part of the First Season while we were at Gallifrey and I was gobsmacked. It's brilliant.

SO -- if you'd like to help make sure that SciFi not only shows the first season, but picks up the second season right off, go read this post by bovil to see some things you can do to help make that happen.

And, as an aside, John Barrowman (who plays Capt. Jack Harkness in the new Who) is an old college buddy of my sister. Now that I've seen Empty Child and The Doctor Dances I really understand what all the fuss has been about.
(Ghods, I wish I'd been a little more self-aware on the occasions she introduced us, and that there'd been time to maybe actually flirt with him then :-)

So, if you are too lazy to go read Andy's post, here are some points to remember:
  • WATCH THE SHOW.
  • DVR the SHOW
  • watch said recordings on your DVR
  • buy the DVDs
  • worship the comic...oops. wrong venue
