Well, one pain in the neck fixed

I trimmed down the upper part of the neck assembly tonight, and did a test assembly with leis as the neck rings. The struts still need to be finished, but I have time for that tomorrow night.

This is a test assembly; the interior struts for the neck are not fitted yet (and hence the weight of the eyestalk has caused the front of the dome to sink slightly) The bottom ring of flowers is resting on the shoulders, the middle ring is tacked just below the top edge of the lower cyclinder of cane, and the top ring is temporarily clipped right below the dome. When I get the struts fixed I may be able to lower the pink lei just slightly.
